Strange fruit

A couple embraces at the centre of the image, held within a world tree. Its branches rise and close into a giant hand. Around them, peripheral scenes unfold across the space: a suspended figure, faces merging with bones. Begun in 1999, revisited and completed in 2023, Strange fruit brings together two periods of the artist’s work. The density and accumulation of the early drawings meet a more precise construction that anticipates the recent body of work.

Unique piece, begun in 1999, revisited and completed in 2023. Signed certificate of authenticity included.
