Landscape 6

The landscape is constructed through inclined planes, suspended volumes and architectural forms. A dark area opens up at the bottom of the image, while the structures seem both to organise and constrain the space. Nothing clearly distinguishes an outside from an inside: the landscape belongs as much to a mental space as to the body. This inner architecture reveals a theme of confinement already present in the drawings from this period.
