Seated Man

A seated man, seen from behind, faces a doorway opening onto darkness. A light bulb hangs within the doorway. The scene is reduced to a few elements, yet their arrangement is enough to create a sense of being at a threshold: the body remains withdrawn, positioned before a dark space that could be an opening, a boundary or a place to be crossed.
