The Bite

An open mouth occupies the centre of the drawing, while three bodies seem to emerge from the composition. The teeth are visible and lines radiate outwards from the mouth. The motif is frontal and direct. The bite is no longer merely a bodily gesture: it becomes an opening within the image, a point of tension from which the forms seem to unfold.
