Twins

Twins originated in a news story involving two unborn children, in which the umbilical cord, normally associated with connection and life, also became a source of tension between the two bodies. The drawing transforms this story into a dense inner space where two presences appear caught within a network of tubes, anatomical fragments and almost mechanical structures. The vital connection and the sense of constraint seem to belong to the same system. The maternal body is not represented as an identifiable envelope; it becomes the very space within which this relationship takes shape.
