Self-Portrait as the Hanged Man - Major Arcana

The work borrows the inverted position of the Hanged Man from the Tarot de Marseille without seeking to illustrate the card itself. Suspended by one leg within an organic architecture of bones and attachments, the figure belongs to the same living world as that which holds it. The self-portrait moves away from frontal resemblance: the inverted body offers another perspective on how we represent ourselves.

Unique piece, handmade in my studio in Amiens, France. Signed certificate of authenticity included.
